WHO WE ARE
This is our story
Mind & Heart HAVEN started as a dream in 2014/15 when Line was running other small projects for poor women and their children in Kampala. Driving around Kampala while at work she soon realized that there was a big need for helping "street-children" and orphans in this beautiful country. Matching up with Snhoster they soon realised that the dream would come through.
Snhoster grew in Kiwoko and Kampala and had all the connections and skills needed to start an organization in his country, and together with Line´s business- and organization skills they knew there was only a matter of time before they could start building.
In June 2016 they decided Kiwoko would be the place to build the Orphanage. In this village they already have a solid footprint through family, friends and professional relations which again will make the progress forward easier and with minimum loss.
In 2019 the plot was found and they decided to go to next step. The plot is perfect located near the city center where roads and power supply already is well established.
Our GOAL:
Support needed children with a safe house and good education, for them to grow up to become good citizens able to build their future in Uganda.
Our VISION:
Everyone given a chance in life, in a safe environment with trustworthy people supporting them, will become the best possible example of themselves.
Mind & Heart HAVEN is a place where children can be children,
where they can be free to grow, learn, teach and play.
A place where they can snuggle into a clean bed when nights arrives, and wake up next morning well rested and ready for a brand new day filled with joy and classes.
A place where it always will be a firm hand to hold,
an adult to ask and talk to,
a lap to sit in
and where we start every day by giving each other a warm hug.
